Using Search Terms to Increase Product Sell Through

Using Search Terms to Increase Product Sell Through

lets talk about some useful things for increasing sales. Inside of Saleturf we have a lot of different reports, which can be found here

I want to focus on the customer reports today, let’s look at a few ways we could use these reports to help increase sell through rates on our products a lot of the reports are good for knowing odds and ends, who all is online, who has requested password resets etc, and what orders are being made, but what I really want to look at is search history. This is for an actual store as our test store obviously doesn’t have a lot of actual customers on the site

from this we can see that T-bird is obviously the most searched word in their search bar. If we wanted to increase sell through we could pick a random product and place “T-bird” here

this will make this product show up in that search result, which ideally would help sell through rates. But you can also use those search terms to see what people are looking for, and target coupon codes specifically for that, if week over week you are seeing a lot of searches for “red XYZ guitars” but you arent selling too many because your specific red xyz is selling at map so lets say 399$, and theres some other site selling them for cheaper, maybe target a coupon code specifically for that, that can help drive sales. Knowing what is selling, and what could be selling will allow you to more easily target products going forward. Knowing is half the battle.
